Luca Ferraro, born in Rome in 1998, showed a profound attraction to classical painting from a very young age. More than a simple interest, it is an almost revelatory call, an inner need that precedes his academic career. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, he developed a pictorial research aimed at investigating the timeless dimension of the image.
His paintings do not describe, but evoke an ancient atmosphere, taking the form of mental spaces and architectures of silence, where each shape manifests itself as an enigmatic presence. In his universe, nothing is contingent: each element emerges from a motionless time, a suspended memory that does not belong to the past, but to an irreducible dimension. The practice of painting is thus situated in a territory of profound reflection, questioning its own being and recovering an absolute tension towards the essential and the permanent.
